FAQ

Questions, answered

What does "bring your own key" mean?

You create an API key with OpenAI or Google (takes 2 minutes), paste it into Brandwave's settings, and generation runs directly on your account. You pay the AI provider pennies per image — no markup, no per-image limits from us.

Is my key safe?

Your key is stored only in your own browser (localStorage) and is sent directly to OpenAI/Google — never to a Brandwave server. This single-file build has no backend at all.

Which formats can it make?

Flyers, posters, infographics, Instagram & Facebook posts, story/reel covers, YouTube thumbnails, TikTok covers, ads, logos, web/email banners, business cards and menus — each pre-sized to the right aspect ratio.

Can it use my real logo and photos?

Yes. Upload your logo and a product/business photo as references and the model works them into the design (best supported on the Google image model).

Do I need design skills?

None. Describe the offer and pick a vibe. Brandwave writes the design prompt, sets the size, and applies your brand for you.

PNG and PDF?

Every result downloads as PNG, and flyers/posters/menus also export as print-ready PDF.

Branded Brief Pages

The Trojan horse: send a prospect a branded intake link. They fill it out, it lands in your inbox, and one click loads it straight into Create — already filled in.

🧠 Brand Brain

Drop in everything about the business — docs, plans, notes, images. It reads them all and builds the brand's full memory & voice, then applies it to everything you create in this project.

📂 Drag a folder or files here — or click to choose
.txt .md .csv .html · Word .docx · PDF · images

🔍 Competitor analysis

Leave blank and it finds your competitors automatically — or enter one or several (comma-separated) names/websites. Live web research breaks down each one's positioning, content & weaknesses, then builds a full out-marketing playbook for this brand from its complete profile.

📅 Campaign Builder

Build a multi-day, multi-platform plan — a caption, hashtags & a ready image prompt for every post. Generate images on demand (per post, day, or week).

✍ Free prompt — describe the whole campaign

The AI reads your request, fills in the setup below (days, platforms, trend research topic — you can tweak before it finishes future builds), researches what's working right now, and builds the full plan. Each post's type (flyer, IG post, ad, thumbnail…) is auto-picked — change any post's Format dropdown afterward.
Controls how much of your brand shapes the plan AND its images. Also applies when generating this plan's images later.
The look (Modern, vintage, futuristic…) and an optional season/holiday apply to every post in the plan — captions and images — and stay saved with the plan so re-generated images match. Leave season on Off for none.
Captions, titles, hashtags & first comments are written in this language. On-image text stays exact via the 🔤 Text tool.
Uses live web search (Gemini) — or news headlines — to align the plan with what's trending and working right now.
📎 Upload your hat / shirt / sticker / product photos
Photos save permanently to this business (also visible in Gallery → 📷 My photos). With a plan selected, tap a photo to include/exclude it for that plan — highlighted ✓ = used; the choice is saved on the plan, so each plan can use different photos. Generated images feature the selected actual products (best on the Gemini image engine).

#️⃣ Hashtag research

Live-researched hashtags grouped by reach — mix a few from each tier. Click any tag to copy it, or copy a whole tier.

💡 Ideas & Inspo

Organic content direction — no images generated (and nothing charged) until you choose to create something. Every button works empty — fields only steer.

🧭 Idea engine — what should we make next?

Looks at what this business has already done (plans, topics, brand memory), researches what's trending, and suggests gaps to fill, directions to go next, and old content worth reviving. Text only — pick an idea to draft it.

Same look & seasonal options as Create — steer both the ideas and any images you generate from them.

🔁 Repost studio — recreate what's working

Describe what you're looking for — live web search finds trending posts & campaign examples with their reported views / likes / shares, then Recreate makes an original version in your brand (similar concept, never a copy) with a ready caption crediting the original. Engagement figures are as reported by web sources — approximate, never invented.

📰 News & RSS feeds — fuel for content

Keep a list of topics to watch — each pulls live news headlines you can turn into posts with one click. Add topics manually or let AI suggest them from your brand.

🎬 Song & Video

Generate songs (Suno) and avatar videos (HeyGen). These run through your deployed site's serverless proxy — add keys in ⚙️ Settings.

🎵 Song — Suno

🎬 Avatar video — HeyGen

🎙 Voiceover — ElevenLabs

Natural AI voiceovers for reels, slideshows & ads. Add your ElevenLabs key in Settings, pick a voice, paste your script.

Gallery

📷 My photos — product & reference shots

Your photo library for this business — saved permanently and shared everywhere: campaigns pick from these, and Compose shows them in its photo strip. Upload here or in the Campaign tab; same library.

📖 Brandwave Guide & SOP

Version 3.23 · Updated July 22, 2026

Everything you need to run Brandwave, step by step. Click → Open on any section to jump straight to that tool. This guide lives inside the app and is updated whenever features change.

🆕 New in 3.23 — your composed images can’t be lost on “Close”

  • Fixed a real gap: in 🖼️ Compose and 🔤 Text, hitting ✕ Close — or accidentally clicking outside the window — threw away everything instantly with no warning, including AI-blended scenes you’d just paid generations for.
  • Now it asks first. If you’ve blended a scene, added text, or arranged photos by hand, closing warns you and lets you cancel. If you haven’t done anything yet, it still closes instantly — no nagging.
  • New 🖼 Send to Gallery button in Compose: keep a copy in your Gallery and carry on working — the window stays open. Previously “Use this image” put it on the post but never kept a copy anywhere.

🆕 New in 3.22 — ☁️ FREE image generation + engine fallback

  • Free images on your own Cloudflare account. A new Cloudflare AI engine generates images through your own Worker — no extra API key, no per-image cost (uses your free daily Workers AI allowance). Square images use FLUX; other shapes use SDXL. Quality is genuinely good for backgrounds, scenes and lifestyle shots.
  • 🎛️ Image engines — free first, then paid. In ⚙️ Settings you can now stack several engines in order. Every image tries them top to bottom and only falls through to the next when one is out of free quota or fails — so free generations get used up before anything is paid for. Click ✨ Use recommended order to set Cloudflare (free) → Gemini (free tier), then add a paid engine underneath as backup.
  • Smart skipping: engines with no key are skipped, and when Source photos are attached the app automatically skips engines that can’t use reference photos (Cloudflare, Grok) so your product fidelity is never lost.
  • Unchanged if you want: leave the engine list empty and Brandwave keeps using the single provider you picked above, exactly as before.

🆕 New in 3.21 — migration tells you the truth

  • Fixed: “Migrate everything to cloud” could report ✅ complete even when the upload was rejected (e.g. a bad sync token) or when images failed — giving false confidence that your work was safely in the cloud.
  • Now: if the data upload fails it says ❌ Migration FAILED and why; if some images fail it reports exactly how many (“⚠ Data uploaded, but 3 of 111 images failed”) and tells you to run Migrate again to retry just the missing ones.

🆕 New in 3.20 — cloud sync no longer reverts your work

  • Fixed: with cloud sync on, changing tabs could snap your work back to an older version. Three causes: overlapping uploads created fake conflicts, the conflict then repeated forever, and the highlighted button on the warning was “load the cloud version” — which replaced whatever you were working on.
  • Now: uploads run one at a time (no more fake conflicts), a conflict can’t repeat, and if one ever does happen the recommended choice is “✅ Keep what I have here”. The cloud option is clearly labelled as replacing what’s on screen, so your current work is never discarded by accident.
  • Also: if this device has changes that haven’t uploaded yet, the app will no longer silently pull an older cloud copy over them — it asks first.

🆕 New in 3.19 — 🎬 Song / Video / GoHighLevel work again

  • Song (Suno), Avatar Video (HeyGen) and GoHighLevel now work on the cloud setup — no more "needs the deployed Netlify site." When ☁️ Cloud Sync is on, these features use the same Cloudflare server automatically and work from any device (and even the local file). Your provider keys still stay yours — they pass straight through, never stored.

🆕 New in 3.18 — ☁️ Cloud Sync (Phase 1)

  • Your data can now live in the cloud — businesses, plans, brand memory, and every image — so it’s safe from browser wipes and available on any device. Turn it on in ⚙️ Settings → ☁️ Cloud Sync: paste the server URL + sync token (in cloudflare/SYNC_TOKEN.txt), click Connect & test, then Migrate everything once to upload what’s already here.
  • On another computer: turn on cloud sync, paste the same URL + token, Connect, then Pull images from cloud — you’ll see the same businesses and plans.
  • Safe by design: changes sync automatically; if two devices edit at once, you get a “cloud has newer changes” prompt (choose which to keep) — nothing is silently overwritten. When sync is off, the app is 100% local exactly as before.

🆕 New in 3.17 — smarter auto-backup timing

  • Auto-backup no longer runs every 45 seconds on big libraries. Because each backup rewrites the whole file (images included), the wait now scales with your data size: a few MB backs up in ~45s, ~300MB every 3 min, and a large 1GB+ library every ~10 min — so backups don’t lag you while you work. The current interval is shown in ⚙️ Settings.
  • Backups never overlap: if a change happens while a big backup is still writing, the next one is queued until it finishes, so writes can’t pile up.

🆕 New in 3.16 — data-loss protection

  • 🔒 Protected storage: Brandwave now asks your browser to keep its data persistent so it isn't silently cleared when your disk gets low — the likely cause of losing work "after a while." Whether the browser grants it shows in ⚙️ Settings → backup.
  • 🚨 Saves can never fail silently: if a save is ever rejected (storage full, private mode, etc.), a red bar appears immediately with a 💾 Download backup now button — you'll never lose hours of work without knowing.
  • 📉 Early full-storage warning so you can back up / move to cloud well before hitting the limit.
  • The one guaranteed safeguard is 📁 auto-backup (Settings → “Auto-backup to a folder”). With it on, every change is continuously written to a file on your computer — even a full browser wipe can be restored. Turn it on before long work sessions.

🆕 New in 3.15

  • 🔒 Campaign images stay put through “Adjust plan by prompt”: every post now has a permanent hidden ID, and its generated image is tied to that post — not to its position in the plan. Adjusting, rewriting, or upgrading a plan now merges the wording changes into your existing posts (keeping each post's image, format, and per-post style/season), instead of rebuilding them. Even if the edit changes how many posts come back, none of your posts or images are dropped or swapped. (Your older plans' images are automatically upgraded to this the first time you open them.)

🆕 New in 3.14

  • 📌 Always the most recent version: Brandwave now always keeps the newest data. If you have it open in more than one tab, window, or device and make a change in an older one, it no longer silently reloads — it asks you first, showing exactly which newer content you'd lose (plans, posts, brand memory, saved images, logins). Choose 🔄 Load the latest or Keep my version & overwrite — nothing is ever lost without you deciding.
  • 💾 Backups always capture the latest: manual and auto-backups now always save the most recent data, even if a different tab holds it — no more "reload first" interruptions. Restoring a backup makes it the newest everywhere.

🆕 New in 3.13

  • 🛡 No more surprise reverts: every ↩ Undo is now scoped to just that one action. Deleting a product photo, clearing rules/memory, or removing a login and then hitting Undo restores only that item — it can never roll back your campaign posts, generated images, or edits made afterward. (Previously an Undo could revert the whole app to an earlier state.)

🆕 New in 3.12

  • 💾 Gallery only keeps what you Save: images now land in the Gallery only when you click 💾 Save. Downloading a PNG/PDF, sending, composing or editing no longer adds copies automatically — so the Gallery stays clean.
  • 🗑 Safe gallery delete: removing an image from the Gallery now only removes it from the Gallery — it never reverts or changes your campaign plans, posts or anything else. You still get a one-tap ↩ Undo to put that image back.

🆕 New in 3.11

  • 🎨 Per-card Style & 🗓️ Season on Ideas & Repost studio: the tab dropdowns at the top are the default, and now every idea card and repost card has its own Style + Season dropdown (next to its Format), so you can theme a single card differently before you Generate or Compose it. Leave them on “tab default” to inherit.
  • 📅 Send an idea to Campaign: the idea and repost cards now have a 📅 To Campaign button — it jumps to the Campaign builder and fills in the goal, style and season from that card, ready for you to adjust and Build the plan.

🆕 New in 3.10

  • 🎨 Per-post Style & 🗓️ Season on Campaign: the plan-wide Style and Season you set at the top are still the default, but now every post has its own Style and Season dropdown right next to its Format (flyer / IG post / FB post…). Leave them on “plan default” to inherit, or override a single post — e.g. make one post Halloween while the rest follow the plan. Regenerate that image to apply. Choose Season: off to drop the theme for just one post.
  • 🖼️ Compose now on Create: the multi-photo arranger (place 2 hats + a sticker, or 3 of one product) is reachable straight from the Create tab via 🖼️ Compose — place & arrange multiple photos — it uses your uploaded Source photos, or your Gallery → 📷 My photos library.

🆕 New in 3.9

  • 🖼️ Compose — place several products at once: the photo strip now adds by default. Tap a photo to place it, tap again to add another (each thumbnail shows a count badge), or select a placed photo and hit ⧉ Duplicate. Build things like 2 hats + a sticker or 3 of the same hat in one design. Need to replace one instead? Select it and flip the strip button to 🔁 Swap. Every product stays 100% exact.
  • 🎨 Style / vibe on Campaign & Ideas: the same look picker as Create (Clean & modern, Bold, Elegant, Retro / vintage, Tech / futuristic, and more) is now on the Campaign build form and the Ideas engine. On a plan it's saved and applied to every post & image.
  • 🗓️ Seasonal themes (on/off) everywhere: a simple dropdown on Create, Campaign and Ideas — default Off. Pick a season or holiday (Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter, Valentine's, Fourth of July, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas / Holidays, Black Friday, and more) and everything is designed around it. Your real product photos are never recolored to match.

🚀 Quick Start (5 minutes)

  1. Open ⚙️ Settings. Under Image engine, pick Google Gemini and paste your AIza… key (free — from aistudio.google.com). Save. (OpenAI and Grok/xAI also work — both paid; Grok can't use product-photo references.)
  2. Under AI Writer, pick Gemini and paste the same key (or leave — it auto-adopts your image key). This powers brand analysis, plans & copy.
  3. (Optional) Add House Rules — restrictions applied to everything (e.g. "no other brand logos, correct spelling, patriotic tone").
  4. Create a project folder (top-left ) for your business.
  5. 📱 Works on phones: the whole app is touch-friendly — swipe the tab bar sideways to reach every tab, and drag Compose layers with your finger.
  6. Go to ✨ Create, describe what you want, and Generate. That's it.
💡 You only need one free Gemini key to use almost everything. Songs, videos & GoHighLevel need extra keys and the deployed site.

🔑 Connecting keys

Brandwave is "bring your own key" — you connect your own AI accounts. Keys are stored only in your browser.

  1. ⚡ Smart connect: paste any key at the top of Settings — Brandwave detects Gemini/OpenAI/Claude and wires it up. (Gemini = free images; a Claude/Grok subscription can't be used here, and Claude can't make images.)
  2. Image engine (required): Google Gemini (free, best text) or OpenAI. Makes all images.
  3. AI Writer (recommended): Gemini / Claude / OpenAI. Reads your business, writes copy & plans. Gemini 2.5 Flash = free & fast; 2.5 Pro = deeper strategy.
  4. House Rules (per project): paste must-follow rules (spelling, tone, "no other brands", palette). Applied to every image, caption & plan for this business. Clear them anytime with 🗑 Clear rules.
  5. Song & Video keys (optional): Suno + HeyGen — only work on the deployed site.
  6. GoHighLevel (optional): Private Integration Token + Location ID for scheduling.
💡 A Claude.ai subscription can't be used here — that's separate from the API. Gemini's free tier covers the writing, so you don't need to pay for tokens.

📁 Projects (folders)

  1. Use the top-left dropdown to switch projects; click to create one per business.
  2. Each project keeps its own brand memory, brand kits, house rules, clients, campaign, and gallery — fully separate per business.
  3. Saved images get descriptive titles so they're easy to find in the Gallery.
  4. Click 🗑 next to the dropdown to delete a project — this removes its brand memory, campaign plan, and saved images.

🧠 Brand Brain — teach it the business

  1. Drag a whole folder (or files) onto the drop zone — or click "Choose a whole folder". Reads .txt .md .csv, Word .docx, PDF, and images.
  2. Click Build brand memory. The AI reads everything and produces the brand's name, voice, audience, offerings, colors, rules, and key facts.
  3. From then on, every image, caption & campaign in this project is automatically on-brand.
  4. Edit anytime without rebuilding: ✏️ Edit manually to change colors, voice, rules, or any field directly — or use Adjust by prompt ("change colors to navy & gold", "make the voice more playful") to have the AI update it.
  5. To start over, click 🗑 Clear brand memory — or delete the whole project from the top bar.
  6. 🔍 Competitor analysis (bottom of this tab): leave it blank to auto-find your competitors, or enter one or several (comma-separated). Each gets a deep breakdown (positioning, content, weaknesses), then your full brand profile powers a detailed out-marketing playbook — exploitable gaps per competitor, 6 concrete content moves with hooks, and a positioning line to own.
💡 This is also how you "hand it a strategy": drop your plan/brand docs here and everything builds from them.

✨ Create — single graphics

  1. Pick a Format (flyer, IG post, story, YouTube thumbnail, logo, etc.) — each is pre-sized.
  2. Fill the brief: business, what you're promoting, headline, details, CTA, style. Add brand colors.
  3. Source photos: upload your product photos (or paste a website URL and click Pull). Uploaded photos are kept 100% exact — never redrawn or recolored. Click ✂ BG on any photo to drop its white background (only the connected background is cleared; the product's own pixels are untouched). Upload as many as you like. When you Generate, the AI creates a background and your real photos are composited on top, auto-arranged — the arranger opens so you can nudge, resize & add text, or just Save.
  4. Click Generate — you get 2 variations. Download PNG/PDF, or click an image to enlarge & edit.
  5. 🚀 Getting started checklist: new businesses see a 4-step banner on Create (key → Brand Brain → photos → first design) with jump buttons — it disappears when done, or hide it anytime.
  6. Toggle Apply brand rules & memory off (checkbox above Generate) for a one-off image with no brand colors/voice/rules.
  7. 📑 Bulk create from CSV: upload or paste a spreadsheet (first row = column names like product, price, detail) and pick a format — each row becomes its own on-brand graphic, up to 20 per run. Great for product lists and menus. ⬇ Download template in the dialog gives you a ready-made example to fill in.

✍️ Free Prompt format: type exactly what you want + choose an aspect ratio — full creative control. 🌐 Import brand from a website button auto-fills the brief from any URL.

🧩 Auto Pack — batches, hands-off

  1. Choose the 🧩 Auto Pack format. Describe the batch (e.g. "Texas facts, trivia & jokes for July 4th").
  2. Set how many of each format (or "All ×1" for one of everything, or leave all 0 to let the AI choose).
  3. (Optional) add a trending topic to ground it in current news, then Auto-make them.

🎠 Carousel format: set 2–8 slides → it makes a cohesive multi-slide post with a hook, points, and CTA, downloadable as images or one PDF.

✏️ Editing images — no full re-do

  1. Click any image to open the big preview.
  2. Optionally click a spot on it to target that area, then type a change: "make headline bigger", "move the star left", "warmer colors", "change SALE to 50% OFF".
  3. Apply change — it edits that exact image, keeping the rest. Repeat as needed, then Download.
  4. Keeping products exact + a real scene (automatic): when you upload photos and Generate, Brandwave keeps them 100% exact and uses 🎨 Blend into scene — the AI builds a realistic environment (lighting, contact shadow, props) around your product, then your real pixels are re-pasted on top, so the scene is AI but the product is untouched. In the arranger you can choose exactly which photos are used — the strip under the canvas shows all your photos (used ones highlighted): tap one to add it, or select a placed photo and tap another to swap it while keeping its position & size. Drag/resize each photo, hit ✂ Remove white BG (↩ Restore BG undoes it), re-blend after moving things. Blend & On-model show their prompt first — pre-written from the post's own text, editable before you run. Blend has two modes: Exact (product stays put — the AI builds the scene around an empty spot and your real pixels are baked in, pixel-perfect) or Free (the AI may move/rescale the product for a better composition — near-exact, AI-rendered, never doubled). Want it moved? Use Free, or drag it yourself before an Exact blend. Text layers: fonts (now incl. Times & Courier), color, size, position, backer — or ✨ Design by prompt to just describe the look ("big western serif, cream, top center") and AI styles & places it. Images start with minimal baked-in text by default — add Insert text chips (brand name, tagline, offers, key facts, Create fields, and a post's title/caption/hashtags) as editable boxes, or use 🖼 Plain backdrop for a solid/AI backdrop. Then Save/Use.
  5. 🧍 On model (worn/used items): a flat photo can't be pixel-exact once it's worn on a person (the pixels would have to wrap around a body). For hats, shirts, etc. that need to be shown on someone, use 🧍 On model in the arranger — the AI renders a lifestyle shot reproducing your product as faithfully as possible (near-exact, not 100% pixel-identical). Use Blend/exact for hero & flat-lay shots; use On model for worn/in-use shots.
  6. 🔤 Text button (on any result or campaign image): add perfectly-spelled text layers on top — the reliable fix when the AI misspells baked-in text or leaves odd gaps. Drag to position, set size/color/font, add a dark backer for readability, then Save to Gallery or Download. Use the Insert your text chips to drop the wording Brandwave already wrote (headline, offer, caption) — no retyping. Available on Create, Carousel, Auto Pack & Campaign images.
💡 Also on results: 🔒 Client preview makes a watermarked version for sign-off; ⬇ PDF for print formats.

📅 Campaign — full multi-day plan

  1. Enter a goal, number of days (up to 90), posts per day, and pick platforms.
  2. (Optional) fill Research real-time trends — it web-searches what's trending per platform and shapes the plan to it.
  3. (Optional) upload 📷 Product / reference photos — every generated image features your actual hat/shirt/sticker instead of random look-alikes. When a photo is attached, brand colors are removed from the prompt so the product stays true to the photo. Saved per project; generated images persist when you switch tabs.
  4. Turn brand off: the Apply brand to images checkbox (whole plan) or the brand off box on any day makes those images ignore brand colors/voice/rules — best when you want product photos exactly as-is.
  5. Click Build the plan. Every post gets a title, caption, hashtags, first comment, tags, and an image prompt.
  6. Multiple plans: each Build saves a new named plan. Switch between them with the Saved plans dropdown, or + New plan to start another for the same business.
  7. Generate images: per post (🖼 Generate image), per day, or a range (e.g. days 1–7) at once.
  8. Adjust by prompt: type a change ("move the giveaway to Aug 15"), choose whole plan or a days range, and it rewrites just those posts.
  9. ⬆ Upgrade this plan: one click brings an older plan up to date — backfills titles, first comments & @tags and polishes captions on every post (keeps your dates & structure).
  10. Send to GoHighLevel per post, a range, or the whole plan at once (📤 buttons).
  11. 👁 Preview any post to see it laid out exactly as it'd appear on Facebook, Instagram, X, or LinkedIn before publishing.
  12. Rename / multiple plans: each Build saves a new named plan; the Saved plans dropdown switches between them, ✏️ renames, + New plan starts another.
  13. ⧉ Copy caption copies the full post; ⬇ Export plan saves the whole strategy as a file.
  14. 📬 Queue: a compact dropdown at the top of the Campaign tab — collapsed it's one line with the waiting count; open it and posts are grouped by plan, each group expandable with its own 📤 Send this plan, plus 📤 Send all for everything. It updates automatically as you generate and send below. Sent posts show a green ✓ with the date.
  15. ↩ Undo: deleting a plan, project, photo, gallery image, client login — or clearing memory/rules or broadcasting admin rules — shows an Undo chip for 8 seconds. One click puts it back.
  16. 📆 Calendar view: toggle between the post list and a month-style grid — each day shows its platforms, post count and 🖼 how many images are done; click a day to jump to it.
  17. ✍ Free prompt build: just describe the whole campaign in the box at the top ("3-week hat launch, TikTok & IG, research Texas fashion trends…") and hit ✨ Build from prompt — the AI infers days, platforms & trend topic (filling in the fields so you can see & tweak them), researches live trends, and builds everything.
  18. Post type per post: every post gets an auto-picked type (flyer, IG post/story, ad, thumbnail, infographic…). Use the Format dropdown on any post to change it, then regenerate that image.
  19. Per-plan photo choice: product photos live in the business library (Gallery → 📷 My photos). In the Campaign tab, tap a photo to include/exclude it for the selected plan (✓ + highlight = used). Saved on the plan — switch back to a plan later and its photo picks are exactly as you left them.
  20. 🧠 Brand influence: choose how much brand shapes the plan before building — Full brand (Brand Brain + colors + rules), Without Brand Brain (colors & rules only), Without brand & rules (just the business name), or From scratch (fully generic, zero brand info) — plus From scratch + House Rules (generic look, but your non-negotiable rules still enforced). The choice is saved on the plan and also applies when you generate its images later.
  21. 🌐 Language: pick a caption language before building — all captions, titles, hashtags & first comments are written in it.
  22. 🅰🅱 Captions: on any post, get 2 alternative captions with different hooks (urgency vs. story) and swap one in — easy A/B testing.
  23. ✏️ Rewrite: every post and every day has a Rewrite button — regenerates the writing (with optional instructions, or a fresh take). The top Adjust the plan by prompt still covers the whole plan or a range.
  24. 📋 Rules changed? Saving new House Rules (Settings) offers to re-apply them to existing plans — pick all or individual plans; new content follows them automatically.
  25. #️⃣ Hashtag research: live-researched tags grouped by reach tier (broad / niche / branded / trending), each showing its reported post volume where sources give one — click to copy a tag or a whole tier.
  26. 👁 Preview everywhere: every image result — Create, Auto Pack, Carousel, CSV, Ideas, Compose (in the arranger footer) and campaign posts — has a Preview button showing the final post mocked up on Facebook / Instagram / X / LinkedIn before you ship it.

📤 GoHighLevel — schedule & post

  1. In ⚙️ Settings → GoHighLevel, paste your Private Integration Token + Location ID, then Load connected accounts.
  2. Generate a post's image in the Campaign, then click 📤 GoHighLevel — it uploads the image and creates a draft Social Planner post (caption + hashtags).
  3. Finish in GHL: paste the first comment/tags (shown on the card), then schedule/publish.
⚠️ GoHighLevel, Songs & Videos only work on the deployed Netlify site, not the local file (they use the serverless proxy).

🎬 Song & Video

  1. Add your Suno and/or HeyGen keys in Settings (deployed site only).
  2. Song: describe it / set style + title → Generate → play & download (~2–3 min).
  3. Video: "List my avatars & voices", pick one, type a script → Generate → play & download (~1–3 min).
  4. 🎙 Voiceover (ElevenLabs): add your ElevenLabs key in Settings, List my voices, paste a script → natural MP3 narration for reels, slideshows & ads. Works from the local file too (direct API).
  5. 🤳 UGC-style content: pick the UGC photo format anywhere formats appear (Create, campaign posts, Ideas) for authentic creator-style shots — and pair a HeyGen avatar video or slideshow + ElevenLabs voiceover for UGC-style video.

💡 Ideas & Inspo

  1. 🧭 Idea engine: one click studies everything this business has already posted, researches live trends, and returns gaps to fill, next directions, past content worth reviving, and 6 ready-to-make ideas — text only, nothing generated or charged until you pick one. Every idea then works like a campaign post: a Format dropdown (flyer, IG post, ad, thumbnail…), 🖼 Generate image right on the card (with ✏️ Tweak / 🔤 Text on the result), 🖼️ Compose with your exact product photos, or ✨ Draft in Create / 📅 Make campaign goal. Repost studio cards have the same Format + Compose controls, and each found example shows its reported views / likes / shares / comments (as reported by web sources — approximate, never invented).
  2. 🔁 Repost studio: describe what you're after — live search finds trending posts & examples; 🔁 Recreate as ours makes an original version in your brand (similar concept, never a copy — no logos/faces/layouts reproduced) plus a caption ending with credit to the original.
  3. 📰 News & RSS feeds: keep as many feeds per business as you like — topics (Google News search) or full RSS URLs, added one line at a time or via ✨ Suggest feeds. 📥 Pull headlines fetches live news; every headline has one-click ✨ Post / 📅 Goal buttons. Headlines fetch best on the deployed site (proxy).
  4. Nothing is required: all three tools work with just the button — no feeds set? It uses your business topics. No search text? It looks in your niche. Fields only steer.
  5. Admins: the Working on business dropdown at the top switches which business you're generating ideas for without leaving the tab.

🎨 Brand Kits · 👥 Clients · 📨 Brief Pages · 🖼️ Gallery

  1. Brand Kits: save colors, fonts, voice & contact once; apply to any design.
  2. Clients: store each client's name + brand kit for quick loading.
  3. Brief Pages: build a branded intake link; a prospect fills it out and it emails you + one-click loads into Create. (Links need the deployed site to work for outside people.)
  4. Gallery: only images you explicitly keep land here — a 💾 Save click, nothing else (downloading, sending, composing and editing no longer auto-save). Each shows 📍 where it was used; click any image to enlarge & edit, ⬇ downloads. Deleting a gallery image just removes it from the gallery — it never touches your campaigns or other data (and you get an ↩ Undo). Clear all empties it anytime — your 📷 My photos library is separate and never touched.
  5. 📷 My photos (top of Gallery): your permanent photo library for the business — product & reference shots. Upload here or in the Campaign tab (same library). Campaigns and Compose pick from these.
  6. 🎞 Make slideshow video (Gallery): tap images in order, pick a shape (square / vertical Reels / wide) & seconds per slide, add an optional headline — get a smooth pan-&-zoom video, made entirely in your browser. Add a 🎙 narration script and it's voiced with your ElevenLabs voice — a full ad video (pair with 🤳 UGC photos for UGC-style ads). Leave narration blank for a silent clip.

👥 Admin & Client access

  1. Admin (you) sees and controls every business, all settings & API keys.
  2. In 👥 Accounts: set your admin username & password, then create a client login and assign it to a project. ✏️ edits any client's username/password anytime; clients can change their own in Settings → 🔑 My login, and you'll see a "changed by client" note here when they do.
  3. 📋 Admin House Rules: write shared rules once and 📤 Send to businesses… — all of them or just the ones you tick, appended to or replacing each business's own rules. Every business still keeps its own separate rules.
  4. What clients can do: everything for their business — Create, Brand Brain, Campaigns, Gallery, and full ⚙️ Settings (their own API keys, House Rules, providers, 📊 their usage stats, and 💾 backup / ⬆ restore / 📁 auto-backup). They can't see the Accounts tab (admin password & client logins), other businesses, or the project switcher.
  5. ⚙ Per-client features (tiers): on any client login, click to tick exactly which tabs they get — hide Ideas, Song & Video, Brief Pages, etc. for lower tiers or to keep new businesses focused. ✨ Create is always on; changes apply at their next login.
  6. 📊 Business metrics: per-business usage (images, posts, composes, songs, videos, GHL sends) with a 14-day activity chart and ✨ Recommendations — AI advice based on what they use and don't.
  7. A Client logs in and only sees/edits their own business — no other clients, no API keys, no project switching or deleting.
  8. Use Logout (top-right) to switch users. Default admin login is admin / admin — change the password right away.
  9. 💾 Back up everything: all data lives in this browser only — clearing site data wipes it. In ⚙️ Settings (admins & clients), 💾 Back up everything saves every business, plan, photo & setting to one file; ⬆ Restore full backup brings it back on any computer. You'll get a gentle reminder if it's been over a week.
  10. 📁 Auto-backup (set & forget): in ⚙️ Settings, click 📁 Auto-backup to a folder and pick a folder once (a cloud-synced Drive/Dropbox folder is perfect) — Brandwave then silently rewrites brandwave-autobackup.json there after every change. No more reminders, no clicking. Chrome/Edge only; if the browser asks again after a restart, just re-allow.
⚠️ This is a workflow gate, not hardened security (Brandwave has no server). For truly enforced logins you'd need a backend.

🚀 Deploying updates

  1. Open the deploy folder on the Desktop.
  2. Go to your Netlify site's Deploys area (or app.netlify.com/drop) and drag the whole deploy folder (needed so Songs/Videos/GHL functions ship).
  3. Hard-refresh the site (Cmd+Shift+R). Your saved data stays (it's tied to the site's address).
  4. Verify the proxy: visit /.netlify/functions/proxy — it should say "POST only".
💡 Always deploy to the same Netlify site so your keys, projects & gallery are preserved.

👥 Accounts & Access

You (admin) see and control every business. Create a client login that's locked to one project — clients only see and edit their own business, and can't view your API keys or other clients.

⚠ This is a workflow gate, not hardened security. Because Brandwave has no server, a technical user could bypass it. For enforced security, a backend login is needed.

🔐 Admin password

Client logins

📋 Admin House Rules — broadcast

Shared rules you can push to all businesses or just the ones you pick — appended to (or replacing) each business's own rules. Every business keeps its own rules otherwise; edit them per business in Settings while that business is active.

📊 Business metrics

What each business creates and uses — images, posts, composes, songs, videos, GHL sends — with daily activity and AI recommendations based on the data.

📦 Export / Import a business

Move a whole business (brand memory, kits, rules, plans, product photos & gallery) to another computer or teammate as a file. Interim until cloud sync.

Connect your AI key

⚡ Smart connect — paste any key

Paste a key and Brandwave detects the provider and wires it up — no need to know which field. Gemini is the free image option.

…or set it manually. Your key stays in this browser and is sent directly to the provider:

Google Geminigemini-2.5-flash-image · cheap · great text & logos
OpenAIgpt-image-1 · high quality
Grok (xAI)grok-2-image · paid · no photo-reference support

🎛️ Image engines — free first, then paid — optional

Add several engines in order. Every image tries them top to bottom and only falls to the next when one is out of free quota or fails — so you use up free generations before spending anything. Leave this empty to just use the single provider above.

Recommended: Cloudflare AI (free)Gemini (free tier) → a paid one as backup. Note: Cloudflare and Grok can’t use your product photos as reference, so when Source photos are attached those engines are skipped automatically.

🧠 AI Writer / Connector — optional, recommended

Powers website import, brand-voice copywriting, and smarter prompts. Connect Claude for the best results.

Geminifree · reuse image key
Claudebest writer
OpenAIgpt-4o-mini
GrokxAI · live X/Twitter angle
Noneimages only

💡 Pick Gemini and paste the same AIza… key as your image engine — no extra account or credits needed.

📋 House Rules —

Must-follow rules added to every prompt, image, carousel, and Auto Pack in this project — so all content stays accurate, correctly spelled, consistent, and on-standard. Each business/project has its own rules.

📊 Your usage —

What you've created with Brandwave and your activity over the last two weeks.

💾 Full backup — everything, one file

All data lives in this browser — clearing site data wipes every business, plan & image. Back up everything in this browser (businesses, settings, plans, photos & gallery) to one file, and restore it on any computer.

Pick a folder once (e.g. Desktop or a cloud-synced Drive/Dropbox folder) — Brandwave then silently saves a full backup file there after every change, no clicking needed. Chrome & Edge only.

☁️ Cloud Sync

Keep everything — businesses, plans, brand memory & images — safe in the cloud and in sync across devices. When ON, changes save to the cloud automatically; sign in on another computer with the same token to see the same data. When OFF, the app is 100% local, exactly as before.

First-time setup: paste the URL + token, click Connect & test, then Migrate everything once to upload what’s already here. On a new device: turn on, Connect, then Pull images from cloud.

🎬 Song & Video keys

Suno has no official public API — use a third-party provider (default sunoapi.org). HeyGen is official. These only work on the deployed Netlify site (they use the serverless proxy), not the local file.

📤 GoHighLevel (post scheduling)

Push captions + images from a Campaign straight into your GHL Social Planner as drafts. Needs a Private Integration Token (GHL → Settings → Private Integrations) + your Location ID. Deployed site only (uses the proxy).

How to get a key

Google: aistudio.google.com → "Get API key" → create → paste here.

OpenAI: platform.openai.com → API keys → create. (Image generation may require a verified org.)
